Zebedee the Raccoon by Kate E. Hancock - Digital Version
Taking inspiration from the myths of North American, Kate E Hancock has created Zebedee, an intelligent little racoon who is sure to win a place in your heart. Sitting comfortably at 5 – 6” (12 – 15cm), Zebedee is a delightful little companion. Suitable for an intermediate crocheter, the pattern is made in a spiral of continuous rounds with a lot of shade changes. Kate has used a variety of stitches and techniques which are clearly explained in the numerous diagrams and photos. Zebedee can be created using any DK yarn, but why not try our own awarding winning Deramores Studio DK, a beautifully soft acrylic yarn with anti-pilling technology. The Studio DK shades required are Smoke, Ebonyand Frost. Please be aware that Studio DK is a 100g ball, so you will have yarn left over if a 50g ball is specified - although you could always make Zebedee a friend. To complete your dragon you will need: 1 x 50g ball of Grey DK yarn 1 x 50g ball of White DK yarn 1 x 50g ball of Black DK yarn 3.5mm (USE/4) crochet hook 2 x 20mm safety eyes - though please note that Kate handpainted the safety eyes in the illustration for extra appeal - they are usually either a plain black or 'googly' Yarn or thread for embroidering the nose Stuffing Yarn needle Stitch markers Please note: Zebedee is crocheted using UK terminology.
