Sybil the Dragon by Kate E. Hancock - Digital Version

Designed exclusively for Deramores by Kate, Sybil the Dragon is looking for friends to share his adventures. With her four little yellow horns, he measures approximately 8” (20cm) when sitting, and is just waiting to be your friend.

Suitable for an intermediate crocheter, the pattern is made in a spiral of continuous rounds, and uses a variety of stitches and techniques which are clearly explained in the numerous diagrams and photos.

Sybil can be created using any DK yarn, but Kate has created her using our own awarding winning Deramores Studio DK, a beautifully soft acrylic yarn with anti-pilling technology. We think Sybil looks fabulous crocheted in Aubergine and Mustard.

Please be aware that Studio DK is a 100g ball, so you will have yarn left over – so you could always crochet a friend for Sybil!

To complete your Dragon you will need: 1 x 50g ball of Purple DK 1 x 50g ball of Mustard DK 3.5mm (USE/4) crochet hook 3.25mm (US D/3) crochet hook for the crocheted eyes option Small amount of yarn for crocheted eyes option 2 x 20mm safety eyes - though please note that Kate handpainted the safety eyes in the illustration for extra appeal - they are usually either a plain black or 'googly' Stuffing Yarn needle Stitch markers Please note: Sybil is crocheted using UK terminology.

An exciting project

I love this version and have chosen my own colours but not started it yet. If you take the pattern a stitch at a time it seems well written though I am a novice at pattern reading but I am a dragon lover so this will test me and teach me a lot.
