Stargazer Blanket Pattern by Amanda Perkins - Digital Version
Stargazer is Amanda Perkins' second blanket based around the layout of the Zodiac and the first blanket of her Exmoor Stars series. Amanda lives on Exmoor which is a designated international dark sky reserve; the reserves are classified as public or private areas that possess an exceptional quality of starry nights.
The layout of the Zodiac constellations were a perfect illustration of the stars you might see on a moorland dark night. The blanket contains all 12 constellations in the right placement order, however they may seem backwards, but this is due to the earth revolving in an anti-clockwise direction.
The Stargazer blanket is made with 1560 x gms of 4 ply/fingering weight Yarn (360/400 metres per 100 gms)
Stargazer is a scrap blanket; so you will need assortments of very similar colours in colour collections. You can choose any yarn of the correct weight.
Why not try Amanda's handpicked yarn pack in Drops Alpaca as a starter pack for this blanket? You will also need 1300g of an extra background colour to complete the blanket but this pack will give you a perfectly coordinated spectrum to work around.
