Star of Wonder Blanket Pattern by Helen Shrimpton - Digital Version
Helen Shrimpton created the pattern for this stunning eight sided star blanket. Why 8 sides? Well why not! It lays beautifully on a bed with four of the sides cutting across the corners of the bed. Eight sided stars have also been used throughout history, by many different cultures to signify great celestial events, the wheel of the year and celebrated festivals. It can symbolise bringing order to chaos, it is also known as the symbol of creation, often depicted as a sun, the giver of life.
The finished size of the blanket from point to point will depend on your yarn choice:
Double Knitting yarn with 4mm hook approx 78 inches/198cm.
Aran/Worsted Yarn with 5.5mm hook approx. 96 inches/240cm
This pattern also includes a photo tutorial to help you create a Star of Wonder cushion cover.
We also have yarn packs to go with this pattern in some of the colours that Helen and her testers have used for this pattern.

Star of Wonder Blanket
I have not started this blanket yet as I am in the middle of doing a ripple blanket, however I was as usual very pleased with the service, the wool for this blanket is lovely, was a bit daunted by the pattern, however I have a very good neighbour who's a whizz at crocheting to help me if necessary.
