Sirdar Snuggly Baby Crofter DK is a clever yarn which produces a Fair Isle effect when it's knitted and we think this technique is shown off perfectly on this square baby blanket.  This complicated looking blanket is actually much simpler to make than it looks and as those colour changes are all within the yarn you get to avoid lots of pesky colour changes!

This kit contains

  • The digital pattern 4798 for the blanket, hat, mitts and booties
  • The yarn to make the blanket as pictured
  • 7 x Sirdar Snuggly Baby Crofter DK in shade 202 (Effie)

To complete this blanket which should measure 90cm x 90cm (35.5" x 35.5") you will also need 4mm and 3.25mm knitting needles.

A lovely useful item.

This is very easy to knit and the variegated yarn adds interest. I am knitting it for my unborn grandson as it will be useful, when he is tiny, but also good to keep him warm in the pushchair or car when he is a bit older. I only used 6 balls of yarn so I have one spare. There are other items in the pattern. I have just ordered another 6 balls in another colour way for another baby.
