Talented knit and crochet designer Julia Marsh has created this wonderful knitting pattern for a hat inspired by maps! Grid lines and squares represent the distance measures on a map and diagonal directions on a compass. There is a repeating Fair Isle style motif around the head. A contrast colour is used part way through the pattern to create additional interest. Concentric rings reminiscent of contour lines rise up the crown, topped off with a colourful pompom. The pattern also has instructions for a four colour version.
You can either by the pattern alone here or we have created kits using this pattern which contain the digital pattern and the yarn in a selection of three colourways which is available to purchase here.
