Mable the Cow by Kate E. Hancock - Digital Version
Mable the Cow is sure that there is more to life than living on her farm, and is hoping to find fun and excitement with you. With her cute little horns and perfect ears, she measures approximately 7 – 8” (17 – 20cm) when sitting, and is just waiting to be your friend. Suitable for an intermediate crocheter, the pattern is made in a spiral of continuous rounds, and uses a variety of stitches and techniques which are clearly explained in the numerous diagrams and photos. Mable can be poseable or non-poseable – the choice is yours. Mable can be created using any DK yarn, but why not try our own awarding winning Deramores Studio DK, a beautifully soft acrylic yarn with anti-pilling technology. Cows come in lots of shades, and we think Mable would look fabulous crocheted in Frost , Rose and Chocolate. Please be aware that Studio DK is a 100g ball, so you will have some yarn left over – which you could use to make Mable a friend! To complete your cow you will need: 1 x 50g ball of White DK yarn 1 x 50g ball of Pink DK yarn 1 x 50g ball of Brown DK yarn Small amount of Beige yarn 3.5mm (USE/4) crochet hook 3.25mm (US D/3) crochet hook for the crocheted eyes option Small amount of yarn for crocheted eyes option 2 x 20mm safety eyes - though please note that Kate handpainted the safety eyes in the illustration for extra appeal - they are usually either a plain black or 'googly' Stuffing Yarn needle Stitch markers Please note: Mable is crocheted using UK terminology.
