Martin Storey brings you this Little Folk Cushion & Blanket, this Knit Along designed in Rowan Summerlite 4 Ply features a mix of Wildlife and Nature inspired motifs, these squares come together to create a subtle yet intriguing project perfect for baby accessories or home features. Martin has shared his story and inspiration on this eye-catching design.
"The Little Folk Blanket & Cushion designs are inspired by traditional nursery imagery combined with my love for Nordic-folk motifs. This charming design is worked using nine different motifs knitted in two colours only in either Rowan Wool Cotton 4 Ply or Summerlite 4 Ply making it relatively simple to work. Four Nordic snowflake motifs combine with a little rabbit, bee, heart and elephant that would look great in any child’s nursery." - Martin Storey

Easy to follow but I did adapt by doing more of my favourite squares and less of the others.
Just received this pattern. Very lovely. Will have to wait to make this until less people are in my house!
Just finished this charming blanket - using Summerlite Anchor Grey and Washed Linen The blanket is very soft, though I found Summerlite has a slight tendency to pill. I hate joining so I rigged up a shoebox feeder so I could knit it all in one without the yarn tangling. As swimming is a thing in our baby's family I swapped dolphins for a couple of the rabbits and decided I didn't really like the look of the aubergine border, so went rogue and crocheted one in grey/white. The finished blanket weighs just 183g - so lots of yarn left over as the kit is 400g! In fact I have enough left to make another.
Not used it yet but it’s extremely soft and squishy and can’t wAit to start my grandsons blanket.
