Needle Type: Double Point
I do not like them. Whee the silver tip is joined to the carbon fiber there is a ridge on a few of them. Very disappointed.
I still love this range, buuuut... these seem to have a slight gap between the tips and the body, which my other Karbonz - I have several sizes of the interchangeable circular needles in the Karbonz, too - don't have. I really think I accidentally got a dud because they literally don't have that on any other ones, but in this set, most of them have, and it's really annoying and hinders your knitting because the yarn doesn't flow over the tips of the needles as it should, it gets trapped in the gap and you have to be careful so as not to damage the yarn. So it really slows you down and isn't great for fragile yarns. So I'm really disappointed because these are meant to be "my good needles", I had to wait for ages until they were on offer so I could afford to buy them, and when I finally did, they were a let down in terms of knitting with them. Other than that though, and if they weren't "faulty", they are fantastic needles, my favorites, and I want the star rating to reflect this as I'm sure most people won't have my bad luck getting a faulty set! Oh, one more little thing, but that's just me, because I knit a lot of dark colors, if you're knitting black or dark yarns obviously the contrast with the needles isn't going to be as great as on your usual silver or wood needles, so knitting in poorly lit areas can be slightly tricky, especially with fine yarns, like sock yarns etc. which is what I mostly do! But yeah, still love Karbonz, so I might try to exchange them for a good set :-)
