Charlie the Kitten by Kate E. Hancock - Digital Version
Charlie the Kitten is just about old enough for adventures and is hoping for a life of excitement with you. With his cute pointy ears and perfect paws, he measures approximately 7 – 8” (17 – 20cm) when sitting, and is just waiting to be your friend. Suitable for an intermediate crocheter, the pattern is made in a spiral of continuous rounds, and uses a variety of stitches and techniques which are clearly explained in the numerous diagrams and photos.
Charlie can be poseable or non-poseable – the choice is yours. Charlie can be created using any DK yarn, but why not try our own awarding winning Deramores Studio DK, a beautifully soft acrylic yarn with anti-pilling technology. Kittens come in various shades, and we think Charlie would look fabulous crocheted in Ebony, Frost and Rose.
Please be aware that Studio DK is a 100g ball, so you will have some yarn left over – which you could put towards another one of Kate’s fabulous designs! To complete your kitten you will need: 1 x 100g ball of Black DK 1 x 50g ball of White DK 1 x 50g ball of Pink DK 3.5mm (USE/4) crochet hook 3.25mm (US D/3) crochet hook for the crocheted eyes option Small amount of Black and White yarn for crocheted eyes option 2 x 20mm safety eyes - though please note that Kate handpainted the safety eyes in the illustration for extra appeal - they are usually either a plain black or 'googly' Stuffing Yarn needle Stitch markers Please note: Charlie is crocheted using UK terminology.

this is my first attempt at crochet animals and I found the pattern easy to follow and the make up instructions clear I'm not hugely experienced at crochet but wasn't put off at all and will definitely do more
