Afghan in King Cole Aran (3458)

A perfect combination of old world elegance and modernity which will fit into almost any setting. This fabulous afghan is created with a combination of cables and openwork and has a garter stitch edging. Knitted using King Cole Merino Blend Aran, a beautifully soft aran yarn made from 100% pure new superwash wool, or King Cole Fashion Aran, a soft and hardwearing blend of wool and acrylic. Both yarns are available in a range of shades for you to choose from. When complete, the blanket will measure 139.5 x 152cm (55 x 60”). To complete your blanket you will need 4mm and 5mm (US6 and US8) and 2 cable needles.

Afghan Aran throw

The pattern is easy to follow and gives a lovely result. I have now knit 6 varying sizes, plus a cot blanket and am about to knit another full size all for family. I am still now awaiting the wool to arrive!

Really good, easy to follow. I’ve actually knit 7 of these different sizes ,as it’s easy to adjust . Only bought new pattern as puppy ate the old one!
