Lion Brand shawl

Took me awhile to get used to pattern and yarn. Started on circular needle but changed to regular needles for the most part. I am back to circular, necessary, due to number of stitches. I would say pattern not as easy as the title would suggest. Yarn is easy to use, soft to touch but the downside is the fibre does fluff up badly. Sorry to say I will not be using this particular yarn again. Only another 55 rows to go. I found creating a grid on graph paper helped in keeping to stripes and increases. I found I was continuously counting stitches. Overall I am enjoying knitting this item but probably won't knit another.

Wonderful pattern

I have not used the pattern yet but it is plainly written and will be at the top of my project list. It is a lovely shawl and should be a perfect weight for spring and summer months. I’m certain if one were to use a heavier yarn it would be perfect for colder months as well.
