Star of Wonder Blanket by Crystals & Crochet in Stylecraft Special DK & Special Aran

Helen Shrimpton created the pattern for this stunning eight-sided star blanket. Why 8 sides? Well, why not!  It lays beautifully on a bed with four of the sides cutting across the corners of the bed.  Eight sided stars have also been used throughout history, by many different cultures to signify great celestial events, the wheel of the year and celebrated festivals.  It can symbolise bringing order to chaos, it is also known as the symbol of creation, often depicted as a sun, the giver of life.

Helen created three versions of this blanket, 2 in Stylecraft Special DK and another colourway in Stylecraft Special Aran. Firstly there is this Rainbow Colourway, feature a blast of bright shades that really add to the eye-catching nature of this blanket. Secondly, there is this Teal pack that combines the beautiful teal shades with the splashes of claret red. Finally, there is the Blues colour pack in Stylecraft Special Aran like it suggests it features subtle shades of light blue brought together by highlighted of silver and white.
