Recommended yarns are not the same as pattern picture
I was very disappointed after finishing the appliques. The yarns recommended in the pattern are different than the pattern picture. The picture shows a more heathered yarn for the background colors. The green 2535 is a kelly green rather than a teal green, and the pale blue 2530 is a beige. With these yarns there is very little blue in the wave so it does not look like a wave, more like an **** cliff. There were mistakes in the pattern which I was able to figure out, but kind of a bother. I didn't finish putting it together after laying the pieces out. Wrong colors for the room I planned it for.
Daughter will love the cushion - But, oh my-Light Blue...
This pattern is working up beautifully and I know my daughter will absolutey love it for her therapy practice. However, I am horribly stuck! Living in the U.S., I'm limited to vendors carrying Scheepjes Softfun yarn (including UK vendors) and NO ONE on this earth, who can ship to me, has "Light Blue" in stock at present. I've never experienced such angst with a project before. I have an honest fear my daughter will not receive her cushion under the Christmas tree. *Again, the cushion pattern is beautiful.
Poor result. Pattern had several omissions and mistakes . Need to state whether US or UK instructions. Applique waves - I have repeated these 3 times and cannot make them fit as on picture. Very disappointed in outcome. I am an intermediate crochet worker but this has been my most frustrating and disappointing outcome.
Liked the presentation idea of making a "bag" for the cushion pad.
