About Sue Stratford

Sue Stratford first opened her shop in 2006 and began a journey at The Knitting Hut which has also seen her love of knitting grow into an exciting career as a designer.

Creating cute and cuddly characters, she now has eight successful titles under her belt, covering everything from Cats and Dogs to Meerkats, including her latest book, ‘Sue Stratford’s Knitted Aviary’.

In recent years Sue has enjoyed creating patterns for garments and accessories which are published as single patterns, all with her unique eye and attention to detail.

Although Sue closed The Knitting Hut a few years ago, you can now find her at Fibre and Yarn festivals around the country, where she enjoys catching up with fellow knitters and teaching classes at other people’s lovely yarn shops!
