Yarn: The Sea Issue

Yarn: The Sea Issue
Introducing Yarn by Scheepjes a bi-annual magazine filled with patterns and inspiration

We’re very excited about the release of Scheepjes latest publication Yarn; this bi-annual magazine launched in spring 2016 is a hub for all things yarn. The first issue is kicked off in true spring/summer style with a sea theme. The magazine is filled with an array of material from knit and crochet crafts to features including the history of Scheepjeswol and the trend perfect imperfection with textile practitioner Tom van Deijnen. A section we particularly love within this magazine is ‘Blogger Favourites’, where the guest blogger shares their love and inspiration for crafting – we won’t spoil the surprise of who this issue’s special guest is, but trust us you love her! Beginning with gorgeous imagergy and wismical quotes the magazine is bursting full of inspiration, whilst the latter part contains all the featured patterns, plus a notes and scrapbook section for you to jot down all important pointers and tips, along with an area for yarn swatches to go. Yarn is certainly a top pick on our to-buy list this spring and we can’t wait to get started on the fabulous featured patterns, whilst learning along the way.

This knitted top is worked in the stunning Scheepjes Mohair Rhythm, a luxurious yarn that was launched earlier in the year. The lace weight yarn is 70% mohair and 30% microfibre, knitted up this creates a gorgeous transparent effect to garments. The range comes in both bright and neutral hues; the beautiful blend gives each and every colour a soft/warm feel. Designer Tatsiana Kupryianchyk chose to knit this top in the calming colours RoboticVogueHip Hop and Bop, plus additional shades in the likewise stunning Scheepjes Rhythm Alpaca. A loose fitted top this knit is ideal for sunny summer days.
