Ridged Ribbon Eyelets
This stitch is worked over an odd number of stitches. It is an example of chain eyelet, the simplest and most popular of all. 6 rows form the pattern.
1st row (RS): K.
2nd row: P.
3rd row: K.
4th row: K.
5th row: * K2 tog, yfwd, rep from * to last st, K1.
6th row: K.
Knit 2 together, yarn forward (K2 tog, yfwd), row 5: Insert right-hand needle knitwise through the next 2 stitches. Wind yarn round needle and draw through a loop then allow both stitches to drop off needle. (1 stitch has been ‘lost’.) Bring yarn from back of work to front between needles to replace ‘lost’ stitch.
