Popcorn Stripe Stitch
This stitch is worked over a multiple of 4 stitches plus 1. 6 rows form the pattern.
1st row (RS): P1, * K3, P1, rep from * to end.
2nd row: K1, * P3, K1, rep from * to end.
3rd row: As 1st row.
4th row: As 2nd row.
5th row: P1, * K1, K into front, back, front, back and front of next st, K1, P1, rep from * to end.
6th row: K1, * P1, P5 tog, P1, K1, rep from * to end.
Making 5 stitches from one, row 5: Knit the next stitch but do not allow it to drop off needle. Knit into the same stitch again but through the back of the loop. Repeat above again, then knit into the stitch once more and allow it to drop off needle.
