Knitting Groups

Calling all knitting groups across the globe, we’re on the lookout for you!

Here at Deramores we know the importance of knitting groups and the fantastic work they do; to celebrate this and give knitters something back we’re beginning a new feature. We want you and your knitting groups to get in contact via knittinggroups@deramores.com and tell us all about you; just a brief intro about you and your knitting group and let us know why we should choose to feature you!

We’re going to explore the ins and outs of knitting groups, the superb creations made within them, the secrets to keeping them alive and the general joy the knitters get from attending the group and then share the story with you, our lovely readers! Like the sound of it so far? Well it gets better, featured knitting groups will receive a yarn bundle, so next time you and your crafty pals meet up you’ll have a box full of fabulously fresh new yarn!

The knitting group features will be aired monthly, hosted on The Project the focuses will get posted across all our social media channels, so be sure to get involved and share the story of your local knitting group with us.

We want to hear from you all, so whether you and your knitting group is from the outback of Australia, the French Alps, the Upper East Side of NYC or the gorgeous countryside surrounding Glasgow get in touch today, email us at knittinggroups@deramores.com with your group name, location and reason why we should feature you.

Featured groups will win £100* worth of Deramores Yarn.

(*USD $150, EU €125, CA $200, AU $200, NZ $200)

We look forward to hearing from you!

  • We are a group of around 26 ladies who knit ,crochst, sew. Mainly for charities. In this country and overseas. Our main project is an Orphanage in Tanzania for children with Albinism, some are blind, deaf and have varying disabilities. They contract cancer easily beacause of their faulty bodies. We have no problem in making for them but the main problem is the postage. We sen over 28 Kg’s a month at the cost of nearly £200. so we try to raise funds in various ways. But there is never enough. So it comes out of my pocket. I am 74 and in a wheelchair so finance is difficult. But I would not stop looking after all our charities at all. We donate to 21 charities in all. Some on eoffs others ongoing.
