Why we want to help!
Remembrance is a prescient time for bringing people of all ages and backgrounds together to reflect upon the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces, and to join together in the hope for a brighter, peaceful future. - The Royal British Legion
This year, we are delighted to announce that we have partnered with the Royal British Legion to bring crafting communities together to support members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, Veterans and their families by raising money for the 2020 Poppy Appeal.
The Royal British Legion is the UK's largest armed forces charity, with 235,000 members and 110,000 volunteers. A beloved and valued national institution, the annual Poppy Appeal offers the Royal British Legion the means to offer support to officers from after seven days of joining the service and long after they retire. They help to provide expert advice and guidance, recovery and rehabilitation, through to transitioning to civilian life.
Now more than ever, we must continue to raise awareness and donate to such a worthy cause, whilst the world is recovering from a pandemic, to help those who need support.
Supporting the Poppy Appeal Through Knitting & Crochet
As part of our 2020 Poppy Appeal we will be donating up 50% of the RRP to the Royal British Legion for our crochet and knitted poppy digital patterns.
We will also donate 10% of the RRP from the sales of our endorsed kits to the Royal British Legion.
Please share pictures of your brooches, blankets and cushions with us on social media with the #deramorespoppy so we are able to display your beautifully crafted designs to the knitting and crochet community via our gallery.
